Week 7-

Last week was a rough week.  I was sick!  It is hard to function, let alone be creative in photography, but I did take a few pics.  It was Valentine's Day and Greg made delicious steaks for dinner.  When mine came off the grill I noticed that it looked like a heart.  Perfect for Valentines!

Also my cute little Addy has discovered how to climb everything.  Her favorite is to pull out the chairs and climb onto the table.  I will be doing something and turn around and there she is on the table!  She is cute though!

Week 6-

We have been enjoying some Chinese New Year festivities.  We had a wonderful dinner with Greg's family last weekend to celebrate Chinese New Year, and today we went and watched a Lion dance (which was neat to see.)  And later this week we will be sharing with Jax class about Chinese New Year.  There were many opportunities for fun pictures this week!

Weeks 4 and 5

So I have been taking more pictures, but I am just bad about getting them on here!!  I having been fiddling around with the manual setting and playing with different exposures.  Now I need to start getting a little more creative.  One of the blogs I follow has a themed photo contest and the last one was a flower, so I took a few pictures of some flowers.

Week 3-

This project is not working out like I thought it would!  I just have not had time to go out and photograph (which I know is suppose to be the point, make time!).  I am going to have to get more creative at home.

So the other day I went out to take out the trash and there was an amazing sunset, so I ran inside and got my camera and got a few shots.  Then when I turned around to go in there was a fullish moon on the rise!  I am sure if I had been in a more scenic area the pics could have been amazing, but you get what you get in a neighborhood!!

Project 52+

So I see lots of photo savvy folks doing a Project 365, a picture a day for a year, well I am a little too forgetful and not on top of it for that!  However the project sounds fun, so I thought I would do my version, Project 52+, a picture a week for a year (maybe more if I am having a good week!).  I recently got a new editing program and maybe this will help me learn how to figure it out, plus I am hoping it will improve my photography skills.
So here we go! (since I am starting a week late here are weeks one and two.

Thanksgiving fun.

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Greg's family.  We had "Super Thanksgiving" with about 65 people (including kids!)  It was a fun day with lots of food, even mashed potatoes- my favorite!  I missed my family and I always do when we celebrate holidays apart.  I am however very blessed to have such an amazing family (mine and Greg's) and am so thankful for the blessing of family.
I also got a chance to take some pictures of my sister in-laws super cute family and of course a couple of my kids too!

Addy loves to carry around a purse and it is SO cute!  She really likes this silver one (it is the perfect size for her), but she just likes to carry around any purse she can find.  And the cute thing is she puts it on her arm and carries it like an adult would!  I just LOVE this cute girl!!

Her hair is also getting long enough to do pig tails!!  LOVE THEM!
